We're a team of coaches, mentors, researchers, psychometrists, entrepreneurs and scientists - and our focus is entrepreneurial activation. We ask "why, when almost everyone wants more from their work and life, do so few people make it happen?" We ask and answer this question in the fields of professional services, academic entrepreneurialism, franchising and coaching.
Almost everyone has the ability to make their work more fulfilling and rewarding, but for most people, today is as good as it will ever get. That doesn't have to be the case but it usually is.
People become coaches for many reasons; some want to be employed for their coaching skills and some simply want to use their coaching skills for their own professional development. Many want the independence to create a flow of business, to generate a good income and to support their identity as a professional. Despite their intention, most coaches don't earn enough to make this a reality.
The field of coaching is growing yearly and the idea of coaches as targets for get-rich-quick or snake-oil-remedy-sellers is spreading. In our work with entrepreneurs, we have continually confirmed that business success is the result of disciplined, efficient work by the entrepreneurial founder. It's best if that founder works in a community of peers and mentors, and it works best if these mentors know what they're doing. There is a real danger that left unsupported, coaches, like other entrepreneurs, will waste their time, money and energy chasing funnels, lead generators and fancy email products. Chasing rabbits in wide fields, instead of settling down, deciding what they really want to achieve, figuring out the business model that they can believe in and building a flywheel of effective and efficient action that overtime, with maintenance will give the results they want.
This is a business it is not a lottery; if you want to be successful in an entrepreneurial field you have to establish a daily and weekly rhythm which brings you towards your goals steadily and systematically.
